Re: Beds/Bucks/Herts/Middx/Ox monthly Z1OC meets 2017

At least I'm pretty sure I haven't grown more of a gut since that picture was taken... How nice of you to put such a flattering picture up, Mark.

Hope to have a chance of getting to a meet this year, but not off to a good start as I will be at Bromyard Speed Festival for the April meet.

Cheers

Ted

Really nice example, corky, you should be proud of it. Don't get too upset about not winning anything. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why some bikes get awards at shows. My Jota got second Best Continental and I hadn't even got round to cleaning it. Show was a bit different this year, I ...

is it any good? I go with the Laverda club every year and enjoy it. Facilities aren't exactly up to Stafford levels but it gets bloody busy, especially on Saturday. Main hall is usually a bit warmer than everywhere else, but sometimes difficult to move for the number of people jammed in. Local club...

I will be moving mine on this year. 2003 bike, green of course. Original except for indicators. 20k miles.

Send me a PM with what your budget is. I'm not far from you, so you can come over and take a look some time.

If you are looking in the Speen area, definitely try The Wheel at Naphill as well. Very friendly, the landlord is a Manxman and races bikes, so you could say biker friendly. Gets busy on a Sunday, so might have to reserve a couple of car spaces in the car park. Can't make the 10th as it is the (ahem...

No need to spend hundreds on the correct tool. I recently bought this set to do the wheel and swing arm bearings on my ZRX. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/9PC-BLIND-HOLE-BEARING-PULLER-SET-SLIDE-HAMMER-PILOT-BEARING-INTERNAL-EXTRNAL-/221563417430?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3396357356 What a blood...

Like Al, I thought it was an interesting programme, but felt a little confused by it. I'm not going to criticise the making of the car itself, as it was beautiful. Didn't talk much about the engine, though (or maybe I fell asleep through that bit). And I'm not sure about making a car so perfect that...

Hi Bill. Contact HMRC, National Unit for Personal Transport in Dover. Telephone 03000 583020. You send the C & E 389 to them and it comes back date stamped, all done pretty quickly.

Hope it all goes well.

Who do you speak to at Kawasaki UK is there a direct number The dating certificate is signed by Simon Chitty of Technical and Customer Service Group. But anyone who answers the phone at KMUK seems to know about dating certificates. I don't think DVLA accept dating certificates from this club any mo...

Registering a newly imported bike

I recently went through the process of registering my H2. It was imported four years ago by Rick Brett and I had just got round to finishing the restoration and getting it on the road. I was petrified of screwing the registration documents up as I know a couple of people who had had run-ins with DVL...

A lovely bike, Pigford, especially after you've sorted out all the bodges. Unfortunately not for me as I would have to sit on the pillion to avoid roasting the knees on the cylinders. I remember 'em first time round. The first time I went to the Island, in '79, the Le Mans was still the required too...

It's alive!

About two years later than I'd planned, finally wheeled this out of the garage and got her fired up - thanks for the help tlc. Got it from Rick Brett three and a half years ago and ended up taking it completely apart. Resprayed in gold as I was fed up looking at blue ones! Main worry on start up was...

I'll see you Friday pm with the Z1, GB.

........... beginning to get the feeling it might be a little bit lonely.

I'll be camping (or in the van by the look of the weather forecast) with the Laverda boys and girls. You're more than welcome to team up with us if you want.

Hi Stephen

Well done for stepping up to the plate. Don't get too despondent that you haven't been trampled in the rush - keep the faith, as you say.

Good luck.
