Re: 3 Old Classics in One Picture :-)
Stunning bike, club members seem to get some very interesting back drops for their bike pic's which also give some good ideas for days out. Thanks Kev. A local bike club arranged a photo evening at the Newark Aviation Museum, so you could take your bike right up to the exhibits. The only problem wa...

Thanks Kev. I was holding out during the resto trying to find a 4 into 2, but gave up in the end and opted for the Delkevic 4 into 1.

Thanks. I knew they were rare, but I have no idea of their value.

Re: Z1000A2 aftermarket parts OR complete bike wanted
I have a set of Henry Abe wheels and tyres that I didn't use in the rebuild of my Z1000A1.
I also have a Motad 4 into 1. It's not perfect as it has a few small dents, so I'm not looking for much money for it.

Re: Out for some fresh air!
Niggles now sorted.
I needed a new master cylinder with a larger diameter piston (20 mm) as opposed to the 15.8 mm one I bought originally.
Repair to the head worked out OK, so she’s now running sweetly as well.

Thanks.

Thanks Zed1015. Attached is the extract from the MOT Testers Manual that led me to believe it was not needed for pre 1999 bikes. My error I guess.

MOT Advice.
I’ve now completed my restoration, and even though my 1977 Z1000 does not legally require an MOT as it is registered as a historic vehicle on the V5, I decided to get an MOT done for my own own peace of mind. The MOT station has “failed” the bike as the VIN number on the frame is not fully legible. ...

Re: Out for some fresh air!
Hi. Changing the heads a bit drastic and could lead to other problems/costs if it isn't good condition. I suggest getting the stud out, welding the boss including filling the hole, drill, helicoil and fit a new stud. Any reputable garage/shop should be able to do this sort of thing. I agree complet...

Re: Out for some fresh air!
She’s a looker! Top job! What are the niggles? Only 2 issues really. I’m not happy with the front brakes. I’ve spent days trying to bleed them, but the lever still comes back to the bar too far. The second one is more of a problem. Number 4 cylinder is not running properly. I’ve tracked it down to ...
