Re: Choke plunger
E clip size I fitted to my A2 in 2024 was 2.5mm I ordered them in 304 stainless steel as when i tried to refit originals i had one snap in 2 pieces. I am pretty certain this is where i got mine https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/277232594587?_skw=e+clips&itmmeta=01KHEYBE14JB2WPR2257WM3WJE&hash=item4...

Re: 1977 Z1000 Rear Master Cylinder O Ring
Rear brake on my A2 (& previously owned Z1R) will overwhelm the rear tyre if used over enthusiastically. A 70's Z1000 on modern tyres and brake pads with braided brake lines and properly bled brake system is miles better than it would have been when new & I have no complaints with mine. Hope...

Re: My old A2
Still with the original rear mudguard - quite rare these days. I worked in Trafford Park for a while and seem to remember (probably mid 80's ish) going to Knott Mill which at that time had new moto guzzi's in the show room. Great picture!

Re: Ignition Switch wiring short. Z1000 A2 1978
Possibly a fault within the switch itself?
I might have a spare I could post to you to try.
Obviously you've checked for blown fuses?
Let me know if you want to try a different switch & i'll have a look to see if I've still got it.
Cheers

Re: Z1A
I had a bike originally from Leicester (KH250) on an R plate that came from Russells Main Kawasaki Dealer - even had their logo and telephone number on the number plate.

Z1A
Looking through some old photos found this one taken in Nottingham around I think end of 1978. Some brave soul on Z1A decided to brave the winter weather - you can see snow on the pavement. Thought this might be of interest especially if anyone still running around on this bike. IMG_20250723_0001B.j...

Re: Dyna Coils and Leads ???
On my A2 I had a coil failure in 2015 (case cracked & looked like it was leaking its innards) so changed to Dyna coils & had been ok. In 2024 I changed back to Z Power coils so back to completely standard set up and I can tell no difference. I remember having to be super careful fitting the ...

Re: Cat and Fiddle Ride take 2
Oddly I didn't intend to take that road - I got diverted due to Buxton Carnival which effectively sealed off the Market Place - was aiming for the Goyt Valley - Whalley Bridge Road. You are right Kev- it is a great road which I haven't done for a year or two - those bends that tighten up unexpectedl...

Cat and Fiddle Ride take 2
I was caught on Camera going past the Cat & Fiddle yesterday when I saw a bloke on bended knee with a long lens camera snapping pics. After I got home I stumbled across a website that apparantly takes pictures there regularly - & there I am in glorious technicolour! So beware - you can be sn...

Serious Motorway mile muncher with the copious fairing - plus it's an air cooled big Z so it can't be all bad!
