Re: 1975 Z1B

Haydn, Fair enough. I also have a Z1-B which I've owned from new (bought May 1st 1975) although it was in pieces for 43 years. I think the general opinion is that they are the best of the Z1's to ride although not maybe the most desirable to own. Pic of mine attached (although a UK bike it's fitted...

Re: 1975 Z1B

Just interested in why you would swap a UK Z1-A with a USA Z1-B? It's a fair question - I bought the Z1a from a dealer on ebay so I'd not seen the bike other than ebay pictures until it was delivered. When I received the bike it was burning oil, the dealer took it back to repair and after he'd sort...

Re: Z900 A4 or Z1 or even Z1000 plastic document tray

Not sure but I think the '76 and later are different to the 72-75 models, I've got one somewhere that's slightly too big for my '75 Z1b.

It's not perfect and doesn't have the handle or sticker but if I can find it you can have it for the cost of posting it to you.

Thanks but I'm looking for an original one ideally. But a tatty repro might do.

No worries - good luck :D

I've managed to make up a toolkit.
Does anyone have an owners manual they'd sell? Not looking for anything mint, tatty will suit the patina of the bike.

Cheers

I've got a replica one somewhere if it's of interest?

Re: Hello from sunny Worcestershire

Hi, Just signed up to the club and thought I'd post a few pics of my Z1000st. 53K on the clock and a UK bike from new, stills rides like a champ and loving the Delkevic 4into1 which is crisp without being offensive. Had MKIIs back in the day and would love another one. Looking for a standard seat i...

Thank you - it is nice, mind you I like all the Z1 colour schemes.
I had a green (which looked more brown) Z1A prior to this Z1B that was really easy on the eye.

Re: Z1A ready for the road

20240217_173509.jpg Bought this Z1A last year and recently got around to getting work done on it so it's ready to ride again. It had a horrible, ratty 4/1, pod filters and butchered sidepanels to accommodate and some minor electrical issues. I've swapped the exhaust for a Kerker Swapped the side pa...

Re: 1975 Z1B

Sweet looking in blue, nice job sir :biggrin Thank you - I can't take any credit for the build, I bought it pretty much as it is. You could have bought a BMW 1200 Gs.. but you didnt, you bought a piece of history, so for that sir well done. Strangely - I actually traded a BMW r1250 GS for a Z1A whi...
