James, photo of labels under seat, there is a helmet hook either side with a label.
I have used all the original fastenings, just cleaned them with solvol and wire wool.

Re: 1972 Z1 Recommission / Rebuild - Vin # Z1F-01173

I'm also doing a 1973 2 owner Z1, last owner being Rick Brett. It's a "Preservation" not a restoration.
I'll put some photos when I get it back together.
One thing that's struck me, is that after 45years you can see the thought that went into the design of the bike.

Z1 refresh

I've called this a refresh, rather than a restoration. Bit of the back-story: a 2 owner Z1, 1973, pretty much untouched except for exhaust and owned by Rick Brett in the USA. Imported to GarryD, whom I've bought from. Currently unregistered, and I'd like to thank Al for looking at it for me before I...

Re: Donington Endurance 2018

Yes, it was a great weekend, and the sun shone all day. The track sessions were interesting on a 41yr old bike, that wasn't really built for thrashing round a track, but good fun none the less. It was good to meet several Z1 owners club members, and thanks to Al for his advice and letting me leave m...

AC Sanctury

Well, not quite, but my take, based on my budget and engineering skills. Not finished yet, as I'm having trouble bleeding the bleeding brakes! All calipers are rebuilt. Chain is rubbing on tyre slightly as well, but I can't think of any way of getting more clearance, I've got an offset front sprocke...
