Thanks for the replies. I took it for a short ride last week and it would run well up to about 3500 rpm the popping away and struggling to pull at all. I'll try giving the carbs a good clean then start the process again.

I've recently bought a KZ1000A2 with 31k on the clock. I haven't ridden it in earnest yet but it starts well, and runs and revs freely, no nasty knocks. Hi All. I've just joined the club and thought it best to introduce myself and bike. I bought this mainly original 1978 KZ100 A2 at auction a couple of months ago. It's showing just over 31000 miles but who knows if that is correct. I intend to keep it original and add/change parts if I can find them...
