Harris exhaust

Hi All

Can someone please advise on the following:

Is the baffle end cap on the Harris exhaust just that, a cover to allow removal of the baffle, or is it part of the baffle.

Even better can anyone possibly post a picture of the baffle assembly.

Thanks

Hi Steve

Not seen one yet.

Where did you get yours. All the ones I've seen have a male at one end and a female at the other.

Help with torque wrench

Help guys.

Got my torque wrench out to tighten my sump plug and oil filter cover only to find that the half inch square push through centre is missing. My boy has obviously been using it.

Anyone got old broken ratchet or wrench I can have the drive out of.

Thanks in anticipation

Another thing to check is that the spring is fitted below the oil filter. If this is not fitted then there will be no oil pressure.

hi Yellow Yoy can check that the oil pressure light switch operates properly, remove from engine. Its a simple switch affair with a spring loaded contact. As pressure rises the plate lifts and breaks the circuit to switch off the light. It can get stuck in the down position. I would certainly not ru...

Hi Stevie Many years ago I had the same problem with one of my bikes. But with no money. I refaced the lobes using a sharpenning stone, and some care and attention. To make sure I had not gone through the hardened surface took the cam to an engineering firm who did camshaft work and had the hardness...

My wife still reckons a dent in the pipe will do the trick.

When I had it I lengthened the operating rod from the brake cylinder which helped. Otherwise as we discussed earlier, rear sets. Resetting the brake lever might help.

The light should go out when you disconnect the lead from the pressure switch and come on again if you ground it to the engine. This will check your wiring. Pretty sure its this way around. But anyway it should go on off when you short the lead to earth. If the light stays on all the time you have a...

Hi John Battery is new. Problem seems to occer ever couple of weeks if I haven't started the bike. So I suspect a small discharge somewhere. If I fully charge the battery there is no problem. Not a real issue I just dont want to get caught out and have to fit the backup kick start. Cheers Mick

Hi John

Thanks for this. I saw it too but £40.00 is a bit steep. I have a fixed one but thought I't fit one permenantly. My ST sometime thinks it shouldn't start, then we end up with the coils and starter fighting for some electricity. The result is no go. Hope all is well with you.
