Re: Z1000j right hand side panel

You can buy Pattern side panels from here

https://lpmreplicaparts.com/kawasaki/z1000j/sidep.html

they make the panels you can get from the club. (Surprised the club wont supply them).

Re: Z1000 1977

The drum doesn’t lock up when you’re hurtling towards an accident and your standard front brakes aren’t slowing you down fast enough... + 1 more feel. I changed the rear caliper on my z1000 to a brembo which is better than original, but no where near as good as the drum brake on my Z1B.

Re: Fuel pipes

If the carbs only have one fuel feed you’ll need a “Y” piece joiner or a fuel filter that has 2 in with a single outlet. Or replace fuel tap with a single outlet - a Pingel for instance.

Re: Petrol cap removal

Chisel and a 5lb lump work well, mind you does tend to dent the paint work.

Re: Clock bracket foams

If you get a further batch done then I would like a set for my Z1000 MKII These were Z1 - Z1B (1972 - 1975) models. However, if you see my post #15 you will see that the instrument mounting platforms for the Z900 A4's is the same, which I believe is also the same for the Z1000's, though clearly ind...

Re: Z1 73 correct code wheels or rims

The rear rim I have is a 303 - 3H rim, (which dates it approx August 1973).

I think you would be looking for a 303 - 3B or 3C rim - to get rim code correct for a March 1973 bike.

Considering it was sold before most people get up in the morning, why argue about shit that doesn't matter, there's Facebook for that. Everything matters. It's just that somethings are more important than others. What is important to one person is not important to another. What I find is things app...
