The floats get heavy with etahnol fuels altering their construction. I've had hundreds of bikes in )plastic float versions) with this exact problem. Once hevy there's no going back. Keyster kits for Kawasaki are good, have heard of problems with kits for 2 stroke Yamaha’s.

Z1 - Z1B - tray is different shape / smaller in size to the later Z900 & Z1000A1/ A2, as tail piece is curved on the earlier versions with a round tail light.

Ah ok Warren that makes sense, so are you saying you shouldnt double washer the float valve, as per Zpowers bulletin or bemd tab more to compensate. My trouble is i have 2 workshop manuals a Haynes and the Kawasaki one both show the Z1 type carbs not the A4 later ones, even the suplememt diesnt sho...

Front wheel has 6 bolt holes. Z900 / Z1000 / Z1R discs all have 4 bolt holes.

I'm after 4 x front brake caliper to fork leg mounting bolts (flanged head) M10 x 41, part number 92001-1355, and 1 x brake piston, part number 43020-1096.
