Re: Top idler tower movement

It's a z900, as far as I know the tower bolts are original. I notice by the time the bolts are holding the tower down they must be just about at the bottom of the hole. As an experiment I re-fitted the original rubber plates and the movement has gone. They are old but they haven't hardened. I'm not...

Re: Carburettor refurbishment

If it’s running ok you don’t... if you’ve never had the carbs on a running engine and you’re going to refurb them you might as well replace anything you can unless you’re trying to save money. He says in the original post, he has already put the first carb through ultrasonic cleaner. Therefore In m...

Re: Stainless Steel Bolts - Ok or Not?

Re: Carburettor refurbishment

I would have thought it was essential to replace buy a carb rebuild kit. You need to buy either Genuine Kawasaki / Mikuni parts , or Keyster carb kits - NRP carbs, Allen’s performance, Saisei.com.

PS I think this thread should be in BIKE HELP.

Re: Float bowl pivot pins

Last set I did just used a very small drill bit and pushed them out. Maybe I was lucky they just fell out. If using force you will need to support rear of nearest post which you are pushing against. Use a centre punch slightly smaller than retaining pin.

Re: New copy rev counters

Guyz ,Are the copy rev counters either cable or leccy driven still as crap as they were a few years back? or have they improved? Can’t comment on cable drive. But the last 2 electric drive with take off from coils died after around 500 miles. However I read somewhere that you need to be extra caref...
