Sounds like your hub is off centre, you will need to get the wheel trued by someone who knows what they are doing, its a job that needs doing now and again with spoked wheels. If you can set it up on a manual wheel balancer or something like that and check it for wobble or even set up a pointer at t...

You are correct, the caps and head were done that way, however if you know what you are doing you can use cam caps from one head on a different one, it's precision work with very close tolerances but can be done no problem once care and time is taken. Anyone who scraps a Z head just for that would b...

Looks a nice set up, but I think if you're going to be just using it on the road even for fast riding, a rebuild with good oil and progressive springs and a solid fork brace (micron if you can find one or Tarozzi) would be your best bet, just in my opinion the cost outweighs the benefit, (unless the...

Sounds like the pilot circuit on each carbs is blocked, but that would be very unusual, everything engine wise sounds ok, especially if valve timing checks out. Seems there is just no drawing the fuel up from the float chambers, I would have the carbs off again, I'm not familiar with the 1100 set up...

Hi Kev, before buying anything, especially if you're spending a sizeable amount of money on a bike that's road ready I would advise you to spend some more time on the forum and trying to get to know some of the lads on here, maybe even see if any are within meeting distance. There is a lot of great ...

Plenty of options for doing it Andy and people will probably have pros and cons for each process, I have my own small rig for soda or hard media blasting, it was cheaper for me to buy all the gear than sending it off somewhere to someone I did'nt know, plus I can use it again and again. There are mo...

Soda does a great job, but as said before, it does not remove any of the oxidisation or corrosion, it can't do this because it's not an abrasive, I believe it works by the tiny particles actually exploding on impact with the surface and so the resulting energy only removes anything on the material t...
