Re: A2 master cylinder.

It's gone to past parts, it would of gone in the bin but the non obtainable diaphragm is like new and would have been a shame, so i will rebuild it and sell it.

I had to change the master cylinder on my bike, so i bought a 5/8 round one, all fitted in and bled in no time, the cylinder that i removed is an A2 5/8 one and the inner sleeve is shot, the rest is all good including the non obtainium diaphragm, so does anyone know where or who re-sleeves these if ...

Yes that's about right for 28's.

Re: Carburettor Help

I have a 26 set in front of me and the inlet throat has a thicker wall where they have not been machined out as much as Fox's, i would say the are 28's you have there.

Re: Spin in the sunshine

Re: Z900 - Z1000 VM26 carb difference

Certain carbs have short pilot jets, the spare set i have for the ltd models have long pilot jets, the ones on my bike are from an A2 have the short jets and it used to have a ltd stand and when left on the side stand it would stall, got an A2 stand and that cured the problem.

Re: Carbs for sale

They are for Z1000-A1, the position of the air/fuel mixture screw gives it away. I’d suggest the restored set is £175-200 but would be best to advertise stating of unkown condition. So many of these restored carbs are rubbish and don’t perform on the bike. A1 did not have vacuum tap, that came in o...

Re: Down pipes discolouring

Single skin pipes will always colour up, and all you do with metal polish is take a fine layer off every time you polish them, in the end the chrome will be non existent, you just have to suck it up with the single skin pipes, at least it shows the bike gets used.

Re: fuel tank

You have the wrong yokes on, chances are they are 650, one of my earlier thous had the same thing, took a while to work out, changed them for the right ones and no more touching the tank.
