Re: Chrome.

If you want as new, you need to buy as new, if you want re-chrome as new expect to pay 3 times the price as the work that goes in is not easy, time and again we read or hear how unhappy people are with de/re-chromes, if you take parts in you need to specify exactly what you are after and research, a...

Re: Cam caps bolts - stripped threads

zcap00132.jpg The time-serts i believe are the same thread as the helicoils if the top lip on the sert is ground to just slightly under 8 mm and then slot the top so you can use a screwdriver to put it in, you could then shorten the locating dowel a tad so it fits, if that is not possible have shou...

Re: KZ1000 A1 Engine & Frame Numbers - Can These Be Correct ???

The ones fitted at the moment that I'm looking to replace are 7mm.

Re: timing

You can go on to the Boyer website and print off the fitting instructions, i am not 100% sure but i think on some of the kits all four plugs fire at the same time, there was/is an issue with rotor positioning due to the way Kawasaki made things.

Re: Ignition Leads

I know others use the wired George mod, but it is not needed if your loom is in good clean un-butchered condition, go with dyna-s or Boyer, they are both good, where plugs are concerned i have had no problems with either brand, but i buy locally and not from the web, if you go Boyer that system will...

Re: Ignition Leads

I have just put a dyna s on mine, i put new coils on from Z-power, i won't use dyna coils as they have a tendency to arc , they also split. do not use resistor spark plugs with resistor spark plug caps as you up the resistance and end up with poor running.
