My concern was the dowels used to locate the caps. The flared top of the serts is larger than the diameter of the dowels I have used Helicoils before with no problems. The bolts are made of soft cheese so don't trust a torque wrench on them. It is worth removing the tacho worm to avoid a lot of dam...

Z900 11013-054 was superseded by 11013-058, both NLA.

Pattern replacements for Z900 are in short supply, HiFiltro do not list one at all. It probably comes down to what fits and is available.

The great thing about biking is individuals with different tastes and backgrounds sharing a common interest. Modern Retros will always be Marmite that is what makes it interesting. I doubt Kawasaki ever set out to recreate the Z1 or even the nostalgia of the era. Just great modern bikes with a hint ...

Paul, Rubbers are definitely available. If the idlers, top and middle are original the inner rubbers that house the bearings are known to fail and will need close examination. Many tend to replace with solid Liska/Ape type for this reason.
