Hi Shed20a if I were you, I'd sell the bike as it is and give the Z1b casings with the bike. The buyer can decide himself if he wants them replaced or not. Your bike is beautiful but not original (wheels, carbs,...) so I wouldn't bother about swapping the casings. It might cost you more than you ca...

Frame will need a log book if you want it on the road. Then you will have a new registration.

thats the way it should be. Positive neutral finder. as you said - spin the back wheel and it'll go into second. have a look at the diagram below - parts 40 and 41 specifically. these 3 little ball bearings control this i believe. Seat mounting different as is the switchgear.
