the only thing you can do is replace it as it works of hydraulic pressure or it could have an air lock in the splitter

the one on the right is correct for the l/h side but the left hand one is not for the z1.z900/ z1000

the main thing to check is the earths as they are all connected together in the main harness & often break with the movement of the harness when turning the handlebars you will need to open up the harness about 10 inches back from where the wiring enters the headlight shell

if you have verry little clearance you need to go smaller on the shim size not bigger i would fit a 295 OP says the problem is too big a gap... and getting bigger, which is the more concerning bit ! in his post he states that the gap is less than 0.05 so its unlikely to be a bent valve otherwise th...

center punch the middle of the stud then drill with a 4mm drill then knock in a torx bit so its a tight fit. heat around the stud with a heat gun untill it is as hot as you can get it & it should come out without having to heli coil

i dought whether the iginition system is at fault. i would be looking at the fueling ? has it still got the injection system or has it been converted to carbs
