a1 have a single needle bearing a2 had 2 bearings in each side of the swing arm

even modern day bikes suffer combined regulator/ rectifier failure but mostly are down to not charging the battery enough rather than the original system overcharging & spilling acid out the breather all over your exhausts. i worked for a dealer & had never seen such an increase of batteries...

have you tried pulling the fluid through with a syringe attached to the bleed nipple ?

check the brown wire ( switched live) at the ignition switch It should read 0 volts when ignition is off

great piece of kit but its not for the z1000 as the pistons are obviously bigger & the clamps could break the rings

I connected the black under the tank to the live and the engine turns over, then I dropped the end of the wire that I had put on the battery, it went to earth and the engine turned over. what type of switches do you have? the a1 switch wiring runs through the handlebars & has single bullet connectors if you have this type the black wire from the r/h switch connects to one of the wires in the clutch switch the other black wire from the clutch switch connects to the black wire com...

spoked wheels will fit perfectly but you will have to change some of the collars/ spacers. also the rear wheel from the z1000 a1 is hard to source
