the yellow wire with the red trace is the live feed to the kill switch & comes from the ignition switch & when the kill switch is in the run position the red wire which feeds the coils should be live. i would check the wiring ( yellow with red trace ) at the back of the ignition switch for p...

sounds like an ignition problem try holding the ht lead to the head with a pair of insulated pliers & gradually move it away & sea how far the spark will jump . spark should be blue & should jump at least 8mm gap

totally agree it will cost just as much as a doremi set & they will already have rot inside them & the chemical process in getting them clean be re activated once you have condensation in them.

genuine rings are difficult to distinguish especialy the top & second ring as they are both silver. you will need a good magnifying glass to see the chamfered edges of the top ring
