Re: Z1100R For Sale - Genuine Eddie Lawson

Good sale Tonka. Was very interested in this myself but wouldn't have had funds until late May and you were some distance from me. Looked a really nice one and someone has got a fine purchase.

This is probably what you are after but if focuses more on the Z1/Z900 rather than Z1000. You should be able to purchase it in the UK for a lot less than this one.

Re: Z1000H fuel injection

Spent last night reading the book. Apparently its only activated when the starter motor is pressed or the engine is running. Thought I had a major wiring issue but all OK. Cheers for your in Al - what you said is also correct.

Z1000H fuel injection

Probably a very simple question for someone who has one of these machines. Just finishing the rebuild of this bike and I am confused on whether the fuel pump is actually working. On my GPZ1100 Unitrak you can hear the pump as soon as you turn the ignition on. On the Z1000H I can't hear anything . Ho...

Z1000H rear mudguard (cut or uncut) - or where I might buy

Same as the Z1R ..... I think. I have miss placed mine during storing of the parts. Its a road riding bike so not fussed whether its cut or uncut.

That exhaust also looks very similar to a Marving system which you can buy today. I have one on my GS1000S.

All sorted. TPS at fault in the end. Had two so gave them both a thoroughly good clean with electrical cleaner and bike is now starting and running fine. Thanks for the advice guys - got there in the end.

Cheers Pluto. Understand how the fast idle works but it just doesn't increase the revs when first started - only increases revs when its warmed up. The bike starts first time every time - it just flutters about at 1500rpm and takes an eternity to warm up. I've set up and balanced the throttle bodies...

GPZ1100 Unitrak - cold start issues

Its winter so I am back to the GPZ1100 and really feel as though progress is being made. This is a great looking bike but is a real pig to run from cold. Once up to temperature she ticks over lovely at 1100-1200rpm and revs freely - its actually really nice to ride. But from cold - what a bastard!! ...

No light flashing on the ECU so that would indicate to me that it can't be all bad. Its really flat up to about 3000 rpm then it takes off. Plugs are showing to be quite sooty which would indicate that its running rich. How do you lean it up on a fuel injected model? No wonder they changed these to ...
