Re: Running again after 9 years! Just! Advice for a layman please!
Before you start ripping the sump off check the left hand alternator case where the wiring enters, VERY common place for leaks which will run down onto the bottom of the engine. The usual problem with bikes that have been laid up is blocked pilot circuits/jets. You could try an 'Italian Tune Up' to ...

Re: 73 Z1 seat
Not the best example but you can see on the pic below how much more 'padded' the seat cover looks and how much deeper the welds are than the very flat looking repo item....

Re: Z1000 1977
Too far away from standard. What he said. A gen UK Z1000 with all the correct UK spec bits would be worth well North of £10K, but the amount of time effort and cash it would take to get this example to that standard would make it uneconomic unless there have some kind of personal attachment to the ...

Re: Newbie In The North East
Got myself registered on the site today! Bought a Z900 A4 a couple of weeks ago. Love it! Not pristine concours resto but a great ridable motorcycle. Welcome Nice looking A4. Apparently there 'isn't' a law agains't riding a "pristine concours resto" and they ride just as great when they a...

Re: Z1 Paintwork
Just started a restoration of a '72 Z1 and looking for recommendations for someone who can do the paintwork. It's going to be candy orange / brown and did consider a new paint set from Z-Power but as the tank, panels and tail piece are good I'd like to keep the originals and have them painted provi...

Re: Another GPZ1100 B2 contemplating sale, whats its worth?
Stick it on the Bay for £6K and see what happens.... It seems many buyers are now looking for the next 'investment' Model, and given even poorly restored Bitza Z1/900's are advertised for £15K then the focus seems to have moved onto these 80's Big Zeds. The bike looks tidy and mainly original so tic...

Re: For sale: Z900 A4
Nice - and looks to have all the original hard to get bits.
Very rare in 2019 to find such an original unmolested example.
Good luck with the sale.

Re: H2B Air Intake System
Hi, I know this is a long shot but before I sink cash into a new replica one from the States, has anyone got or know anyone who has an air intake system (or part of) for a 1974 H2B ? The whole thing comprises https://z1parts.net/kawasaki-h2-750-com ... rrencyId=3 but would consider parts if availab...

Re: Z1B-900
as for the paint well I'll live with it for a while. TBH it's more the positioning of the stripes, the paint itself looks pretty close. Pic below is my old 'B', Paint & Stripes are factory original but was re-lacquered to cover a little fading. Note the bottom stripes rise from the back of the ...

Re: Z1B-900
20191017_172524.jpg Here's a picture of my 1975 Z1B-900 all date codes are right. I got it for a bargain and have done a small amount of work, exhaust, chain guard, airbox and detailing, very low mileage (4600k). Any ideas on a value? Many thanks Nice B. A properly restored 'B' with period correct ...
