Hi … I have just finished restoring a Z1A …. when I put the tank on it seems the fork ( headlight bracket ) hits the tank before it reaches the lock stop … the other side is fine …. any ideas ??? Either your tank is too far forward or there is a bit of a problem with your lock stops. Ate your front...

If the bike hasn't been run for a long time the fuel in the carbs can evaporate and the gaskets dry out and shrink causing a leak when you first put fuel back in. Once the gasket swells they seal again and stop the leak/s.

A stunning bike, but it must be ridden and then polished if need be and not just polished. Ride all my Bikes Andrew, (done several hundred miles on the A4 in the last month). But I do get a little tired sometime's of the 'usual' comments of "Very Nice - but I RIDE my bikes". and the oh-so...

If you're after the full 70's experiance you can now buy copies of the original period TT100's,which are now made with modern Rubber. A H1 I used to own came with them and they performed fine although I didnt push them 'that' hard.
