Ditto Adrian with Satin black but I then go over with a few coats of Satin lacquer just for a little extra protection. Also Satin paint will 'take' a Polish and will start to look a gloss finish, the lacquer helps stop this. As long as you wipe off any fluid leaks straight away it shouldn't affect t...

Presume a much rarer UK model if you've owned it since 1980. That's an interesting comment, mine's almost certainly a genuine UK model, I bought it from a fella in Tadley near to Reading & Basingstoke. Any way to be sure from the frame number etc? Should be on the log book, ie date of registrat...

Presume a much rarer UK model if you've owned it since 1980.

Don't have a problem with Hardley's, and quite like some of the custom one's. Not my thing but given how much effort we put into our bikes you can appreciate the work that goes into them.

Have to say though I don't really get the Fancy Dress thing that seems to go with it.

Sadly not soon enough Andrew as the Tarpaulin had trapped the damp against the upper right pipe causing some blistering, hence the rechrome.
