Re: Z1000A Delkavic exhaudt

Just fitted mine and have to say I'm quietly impressed. decent quality & fit and unlike many aftermarket systems it retains the main stand which is a BIG plus for me. (even comes with a bracket and rubber for the stand to sit against) Not had the bike running yet as still needs some finishing bu...

Re: Engine restoration

Putoline Chain & engine degreaser (expensive BUT it works) then a scotch pad, a tube of Autosol and a very large tub of elbow grease..... then get rubbing. Wrap the pad around a flat blade screwdriver to get into the fins. download (1).png An old Z1B I used to own. Before Z1077 (1).jpg After.......

Looking for a presentable set of rear foot pegs similar to below. Believe they are same as Z1R, Z250/650 and some LTD models.

Anyone recommend a decent single feed in line fuel filter for the Zeds?.

Re: 1972 Z1 Recommission / Rebuild - Vin # Z1F-01173

A VERY nice find. :D

Be careful with T-Cut as it can be a little harsh on original paint. Any decent car polish/Wax will contain enough 'Cut' to restore the original finish without going through the steel tubing.

Z1-R side Panel Badges.

Anyone got a pic of Z1R side panel on the Bike?...

Trying to work out the exact position of the badges. Some pics I've seen show the badge level with the top of the panel - other's level with the mould line on the panel (which looks a different angle).

Measures would be good if poss. :D
