Yep its an american import. Presume they didnt have them fitted as standard then. Think its worth doing to balance the look of the seat. I'l get me drill out once the straps arrived.

Fitting seat strap

Just waiting for a seat strap to arrive for my z1000A1 as it never had one. Looking at the seat pan I expected to find some holes in the side to connect/bolt/rivet through but can't see any signs that it's ever had one fitted. How are the seat straps originally fitted?

Yep that all makes sense, backfiring and sooty plugs as well. The bike had the relay mod on it originally but when I fitted the Dyna S I removed it as I didnt know what it was.

Tried to start the bike yesterday and only firing on No's 2&3 so had a look at the coils this morning. Ive got a new Dyna S ignition and coils fitted and its been running fine up to today. I could't trace the problem but was only getting 8.5 volts at the coils. Managed to fire it up and now only...
