Re: Charging
The guy was quite horrified at Electrix's failure to have rectified this issue, or at least acknowledged it in their instructions.
He'll be modifying his build very soon & is very grateful to you on here.

Re: Charging
I don't know if this is of any help whatsoever, but there is a guy on a Ducati forum that I frequent who has built a replica of a Kawasaki endurance racer with what I seem to remember, a very similar alternator/charging system. It is a truely brilliant piece of work ! Potentially it could be worth c...

Re: Charging system
I would say 14.5v would be the most you'd really want to see, someone will be along soon who will know for certain though. It would explain why your battery is overcharging & expelling it's electrolyte from the vent caps. I'm sure there is a "how to" somewhere on this forum explaining ...

Re: Z900 A4 Strange gearbox issue, anyone help?
When you are changing gears, is the engine running or are you just turning the rear wheel to aid gear selection ? I was under the impression to select 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th gears the engine needs to be running so that it spins the gearbox shaft with the blocker ball bearings in. Or did the US vers...

Re: Steering damper rubbers
I take it the rubber dampers are in the steering damper itself then rather than the frame mounts ?

Re: Twisted but where?
A few points I'd like to chip in with, hopefully they'll make sense. I'd be wary of positioning the lower yoke on a piece of glass & using that as a datum. The glass will be flat, or at least flat enough for this excercise. However, because the lower yoke & upper yoke for that matter, is not...

Re: Crankcase bolts
Is it because the two that require sealing, their threaded holes break into an oil gallery, whereas the two that do not require sealing go into blind holes ?
Or something like that anyway !
Someone will know for certain & be along shortly no doubt !!

Re: Garage Lift
The Abba Skylift is a great piece of equipment as is a good bench lift. They both have their merits over the other. The Skylift is more mobile than a bench & takes up less space when not being used, if that is a consideration for you. I have an Autec lift, made by a Dutch company who have made l...

Re: 900 rear wheel spacer dims
A lot of seals have their dimensions printed on the outside face in a series of a group of three numbers. You might be able to read the seal dimensions, which would give you the outside diameter too.
