Scott,
Use IG Welding Services behind the parade of shops on Allaway Ave, Paulsgrove. Ivan was recommended to me by a mate and ended up doing a lot of welding jobs for me including shock mounts. Normally beer money for small jobs.

Re: z1000j rear wheel central?
Thanks for the reply. I was hoping to make up the spacers whilst the swing arm was off of the bike.

z1000j rear wheel central?
Gents,
Does anyone know if the Z1000j rear wheel is centrai in the swing arm or is there an offset? I will soon be trying to fit a three spoke triumph sprint wheel with a 180 tyre in a JMC arm but have no reference point.
Anyone with similar experience?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Any electronic engineers amongst us?
Don't know if this is any use but a Triumph 1050 speed Triple has an LED Bar graph rev indicator as standard so might be worth a look? Just so that you know the LEDs on the speed triple aren't very bright during day light.

Well, after a few minutes of thought and measuring in the garage last night I bit the bullet got the grinder out and trimmed the frame tank mounts back by 5 mm each side and the J3 tank fits. I had to use different rubber cushions (katana ones) but essentially it now fits and just needs the rear cus...

Thanks for the reply but the bike is definitely a J1 (says on the frame number) and I got the tank from Lomi who is selling J3 parts).

Differences between US J1 and European J3 fuel tanks
I have a US import J1 and have finally got hold of a good condition Euro spec J3 fuel tank. Being fairly clueless about Kawasakis I thought the swap would be straight forward but... The J3 tank is narrower than the J1 tank at the front end where it sits on the circular rubber mounts. Has anyone come...
