Z900 GREEN SUPERB EXAMPLE

Thinking of selling my KZ900  Buying a VW campervan, but keeping the Z1R. Its a very original (apart from pipes) KZ900 - manufactured Nebraska March 1976. All date codes on wheels. discs, frame, engine, etc prove originality. Original paintwork with a few marks & tail cracked, but they ar...

Re: Throttle response

Ok guys, I agree with the general consensus that’s it an ignition problem, so I have a 1986 GPZ 1100 as a parts bike and it had an newtronic electronic ignition system fitted, everything is there so I’m in the process of changing the casings and fitting the system on to my bike, hopefully should be...

Re: Z1R - Piggy's Revenge!

Fred - noted!!! Had a bit of spare time and tackled a few bits........ firstly fitted a manual cam chain tensioner. This involved removing seat, tank & carbs, so also swapped the blue fuel line for more subtle black braided rubber hose. Also fitted a set of mesh filters on bellmouths - did remov...

Re: Z1R - Piggy's Revenge!

My view for what it's worth - The mirrors do not go with that screen - they need to be lower (as in the 1st of Fred the zed's pics ) or of the type that fix through the side of the fairing (although that would spoil the fairing!) and the screen screws should be black. If going for minimalist look I...

Re: Z1R - Piggy's Revenge!

Not selling original screen - bike has most parts to return to standard if ever wanted.

I have ordered some nice black plastic screen bolts

Will get better photo's after oil cooler is fitted.

Z1R - Piggy's Revenge!

As most of you know by now I was lucky enuff to acquire the gorgeous modded Z1R off "Fred the Zed" a couple months back. So far I've only had chance to do around 100 miles which has lead to some minor fiddling - adjusting levers & controls to suit, etc. But today, having bought the Bul...
