I have tried searching this forum for the thread size of the spokes and nipples of a Z900 to no avail. Does anyone know the correct thread, it has 40TPI and as far as i can measure it appears be 5/32nd in diameter, what kind of thread is it as i need to get a tap to clean up the nipples, has to the ...

I use 10 weight but have tried 5 but not an oil issue. it is the spring tension/length that is the problem, that is why i asked here on the forum if anyone else has any idea as to where i can get springs suitable for the Z1B. Speedo repairs

Hi Guys
i was trying to find out who does speedo repairs by serching the forum, one name came up Cris Rivitt but the link is dead.
Can anyone recomend how to contact him or if not him someone who can recodition my Z1B clock as the needle goes crazy after 60mph.

Thanks for that Ginger bear, it has had atttention to detail, lots of cash spent on so many new parts by previous owner/owners, it needed the carbs sorting maybe thats why they moved it on i dont know. I have spent time running through all possibles with it and now realise carb no 3 it not fuelling ...

Its been a weekend of setting up amongst other things, a bit of a roller coaster as usual but today sounding good. Will let you know tomorrow the progress after a ride. After more research they are Kent cams KAW16, ports have been blended out to 32mm from the enlarged valve seats and stainless valves. I love a challenge when it comes to setting up.

Update, i now find receipts from Debben performance that this engine was fitted with 389 performance cams, adjustable sprockets and bigger stailess valves with the ports and seats cut and blended, WOW what a bonus.
