Re: FOR SALE: 1974 Kawasaki Z1A

Afraid this is very overpriced and you can easily invest
£10K restoring to A1 and still would struggle to
get your asking price. Good luck.

Re: Champion Copper core plugs

I should have said carbs sorted and it just cane about
in email conversation that Steve Smethurst
reccommends using the Champion plugs. I've always used
NGK but if there's something better I'll give them a try.

Cheers for comments

Champion Copper core plugs

Just been discussing carb issues with Steve
Smethurst and he suggested I use Champion
copper core plugs. Does anyone know the equivalent
to NGKB8ES?

Z1 Parked Hayling Island

My son spotted a lovely looking Green/Yellow std Z1
parked in a drive, seemed to be on show, far end of island.
Anyones here? I now live in Rowlands Castle
so not far to visit.

Re: Z1 Carb Setup:- Guru needed

Thanks Philippe,
I've gone through the process 3 times now
and found nothing wrong. I will read that article just in case I've
missed something.
Did a leakdown test today and all four cylinders
are less than 5% which is better than new.

Z1 Carb Setup:- Guru needed

Does anyone know of a carb expert? Try as I might
even with some vac test kit from Chris I can't get
either of the two sets I've restored working
properly. I cannot find anything wrong at all.

Re: Fresh build Z1A Smoking- SEP?

I'm getting old... Measured bores & pistons and SEP work spot on, excellent in fact. Rings over gapped so NOS set on order I forgot to check this as I gave the whole lot to SEP with rings fitted, not sure who made the rings I'd fitted previously but schoolboy error. Should be firing the old girl...

Fresh build Z1A Smoking- SEP?

Anyone recently used SEP to rebore their barrels
and had problems?
They made and installed new liners bored to match NOS
pistons I sent. New rings fitted etc and fired
the old girl up yeterday, smoked like a bugger

Wurth Time Sert M6 Kit

Does anyone have an M6 x 1 Time-sert kit I can borrow?
Need it for Thursday.
I'll buy inserts and give you the balance as I only need one.
Will obviously cover postage both ways.
