Re: Richard Hammond Z900 up for auction 01.08.21

WGP242R was one of my early restorations. It was the first engine to go through Steve Smethurst’s cleaning process way back. I spent so much ££ on it that the missus insisted I sold her. [image][/image] I can’t recall if it had the correct Tacho but knowing me it would have when I sold it. I’m sure ...

Tool hire:- Z1000-A1 Genuine Piston Ring Compressor

Does anyone have the genuine Kawasaki Z1000-A1 piston ring compressor I could borrow/hire for this weekend?
Must be the original workshop tool.
You’d need to post to me in P09 and I’d cover the cost both ways +.

Done this a few times exactly as described. Make sure you get the hi-gloss version of the sleeving.

Re: Z2 750 Bore service limits

I’ve restored a few Z2’s. Yes 0.004” would be the point of a rebore.
If you use IMD pistons/rings these are made from superior materials and the bore would be skirt OD (measured at right angle to small ends) + 0.0015-0.002”.

Z1 Main Jet O ring 16038-009

Has anyone found a supplier for the O ring 16038-009? This goes on the bolt that provides access to the main jet on a Z1.
Ridiculous price on ebay & all the usual suppliers are saying it’s NLA.

Z900-A4 Calliper dust boot retaining ring

I’m replacing the pistons on an A4 at the moment and found that the ring that should retain the concertina dust boot is missing in both.
Q. Are these rings available anywhere?

I can see they are available for the Z1 range but not sure if they will fit an A4.

Z1B/Z900 Camchain tensioner housing

Does anyone have a camchain tensioner going spare?
Don’t need the spring or tensioner rod.
