Re: REX 1200R A6F SOLD

Garry,
coincidence but, after I sold my ZRX I ended up buying a "marmite" Guzzi: bit odd ball and like a fast tractor really, but an involving ride all the same :D

Lockdown Z900 refresh

I've had my Z900 for about 9 years and she was needing a bit of a refresh: lockdown arrived and cocked up all planned ride outs- so was an ideal time to tidy her up. Had a couple of paint defects to resolve so turned her a lovely shade of the unpopular "brown", and she had the (wrong) 72-7...

Re: First ride out in ages...

Thats a beautiful A1 - she looks great. :up What did you use on the engine to get that shine - very nice. Strange coincidence, but I recently finished my A1 resto and its developed a leaking petcock (brand new PMC unit - got some Kawa genuine seals to retro fit) and a potential blockage / gremlin to...

Re: Indicator rechroming

Gav, hi Just had my Z1000A1 petrol filler cap re-chromed (and its made of best quality monkey metal): went in looking well tired and came back shiny and new. The chromer said the end product might not be perfect, but it turned out very nice. The guy I use is based in Hinckley: might be worth a call ...

1977 Z1000A1 Carb Sync query

Guys, trying to fettle my A1 and a job I need to do is sync / balance the carbs.
Last bike I did was a Z1300 and was advised to aim for between 18 - 25 in / hg
Is there a recognised target range to aim for with a totally standard Zed thou carb set up ?

Any advice appreciated - Cheers Tim

Re: My Z1000A1 - 99% done

Managed to sort the rear light bracket and number plate positioning and have put UK spec rear shocks on her - I'm pleased as those little changes makes the bike look better. Re exhausts heat shields - I tried to fit the pair of standard heat shields off my old knackered exhausts and could not get th...
