Cylinder Block Damage

Hi, Looking for some advice on the best way for a repair to a damaged cylinder block. (see photos below) The block is a spare I've had for some years and was getting prepared for a re-bore etc. The front cam guide needed to be removed, the screw was tight so had to use an ezee out, when the screw ca...

Re: An African Adventure - 1995

Bike started on first press of the but...

Oil Level with Cooler Fitted

I have fitted an oil cooler to my Z900 project bike and the oil feed pipes are fitted to the bottom of the cooler hence oil drains back to sump when engine is stopped. I'm just wondering what other people with this type of set-up are doing with regards to keeping the correct oil level? I did a quick...

Re: Petcock/Fuel tap

Hi, that sounds like a very familiar story. I bought a replacement petcock a while ago and yes it was leaking like a sieve when turned on a few weeks ago. It looks like it had been leaking previously when used since there were marks on the K&N filters from the petrol. I located the problem to th...

Re: An African Adventure - 1995

Part 8 (Mozambique to Zimbabwe (Vic Falls) map6_LI_final.jpg Mozambique had only recently finished its civil war so there were signs everywhere warning you not to stray off the side of the road due to land mines. We had heard so many stories from other (mainly South African) travellers coming north ...
