Re: Fitting BS34 carbs with a Z1000J Airbox into a Gpz1100B2

Hi Mike , Also B2 owner and been exactly where you are fitting carbs. Mine has been running for 10 years now without problem but it took some time and a lot wrong turns before a good set up was found. As Mr Bump says 1000j and 1100r air boxes will not fit unless you change the frame with regards bat...

Re: Carbs on an 1100 Unitrack engine

Hi Roger, Bike looks very good , my B2 has pod filters on BS 34's and a dynojet kit so have no jetting advice for you but I am curious as to whether a stock airbox will fit a B1/2 frame because the battery is much lower than on a 1000J/R and I was under the impression it would not fit without cuttin...

Re: Gpz 1100 B2

Hi Philippe, this looks like an interesting project especially to a fellow B2 owner. It looks like it hasn't been badly looked after and it's all there . Is it a Belgian bike ? Never seen one with a seat strap before. I hope the injection system is working correctly , most of the sensors etc are no ...

Hi there, Funny you should ask but I was looking at a 1979 Cavalcone that was for sale at an autojumble on Saturday . Don't know the Monte , but when googling it I only get pics of a Cavalcone . Anyway don't get too excited , he wanted €2300 and it's in Germany !

That's the one and looks like a very good one at that. You didn't take long to find it , it's taken me years to find all the parts I was looking for for my B2 !

Here is my B2 seat . It looks the same as the eBay one . I have never seen a different original seat on a B2 but I wouldn't worry yours looks fine as it is .

Re: Sgt.Pinback says hello

Hello Uli, from another B2 owner. That is a very nice one you have there and so clean ! I would say the seat is an original that has been cut down and recovered to look like an ELR replica and what you have now is from a B1.

Re: ZIA revs hanging when throttle is blipped

Hi , Been there and got the post card , spent weeks mucking about with the carbs on my 1100 because revs were hanging on in the mid range and eventually turned out that the so called expert that had done some top end work had managed to set up the valve timing 1 tooth out . I never realised that the...

Re: Z1100 R1 1985

Very nice bike with lots of period mods , just my cup of tea ! Any pics of the other side , I would like a better look at the braced swing arm and while I am being curious what is the exhaust ? Don't worry about the front mudguard mine looks the same , Its the result of a Gpz or 1000J/R guard in com...

Re: Newbie

Hi Brett, We have met a couple of years ago ( Ians friend from Germany ) Nice bike you have got there . When the injection is removed there are quite a few wires and connectors that become redundant , in fact there is a small sub loom for the injectors and DFI box that unplugs under the seat . Post ...

Re: Hello from sunny Ossett in West Yorkshire

Hi ,
Sounds very similar to my own story except I had an 1100r and loved
it ! Hurry up and get a bike before the prices get even sillier. I went down the Gpz 1100B2 route because they too are just about affordable and quite a few around. Good luck with the search.

Re: One piece at a time!

Nice to see the frame being put to good use .Gave it to my brother (Pluto ) last year as I had no space to keep it and my frame was sorted by Motoliner. The frame was from a whole stash of parts I bought in here in Germany from a 1981 Gpz 1100B1 . The external steering lock was also fitted to German...
