Re: ZIA revs hanging when throttle is blipped

remove the tick over screw & see if the revs are still hanging if its ok without the tick over screw the slide heights will need to be set correctly That would just give him a high tickover that he can't adjust, but that's not his problem. I read it that he can get a reasonable tickover, but wh...

Re: ZIA revs hanging when throttle is blipped

Double checked cables … got play on both cables …. throttle action is loose You need to identify the cause, either slides not closing or some other way fuel/air is getting into the motor. The return cable should be tight for this test, adjust the cables so that you can see the return cable get tigh...

Re: Frame and Engine Nova

But obviously you went and collected it within the past 14 days from a private seller, didn't you John, I thought you did. Because he was a private seller you did a purchase receipt yourself didn't you, so you have a receipt, don't you, I thought so. And the seller had lost the original paperwork, p...

Re: Z900-A4 Hazzards

Thanks guys for offers of help, I'll be in touch. I'm wondering if the hazzard switch isn't putting the LH & RH circuits in parallel when operated, the manual shows it as a simple swtch. I presume there's a resistor in the flasher relay to ensure the flash freq is regulated. I'll test this quic...

Re: Front break upgrade

Never knew a z1b DD conversion used thinner discs, thought it was only z900/z1000 that used the thinner discs. Correct, the Z900-A4's came as standard in the UK with twin discs, which were thinner than the earlier Z1/A's/B's. Upgrading the earlier Zeds to twin discs involved fitting a second thicke...

Re: fuel tank - holes and rust

I've got a couple of rust holes in the tank. PICT0117.JPGPICT0116.JPGPICT0118.JPG I've been told that 'Quiksteel' can repair these if the metal around them is prepared correctly. Is this true or is there a better method or is it past it? My plan was to repair the holes then put a resin in the tank....

Hi Ultim8pc you're right, they are the same but with different stampings. On the underside of the frame of my MK2 there are mounting points allthough the original MK2 exhaust I have doesn't have lugs to attach them with bolts on there.
