Re: Carb balancing

YAY. IV'E GOT IT . Thanks warren3200gt , good explanation. Of course , the volume in each float bowl will be different because each float will have a different displacement. I know the recommended way to do it , done it many times . I was trying to re-invent the wheel . I gotta disagree with Adrian...

Re: Carbs help please

first thing to check is is fuel tap passing if it is sort that first and it will probably sort the problem. The carbs shouldn't overflow because the fuel tap lets petrol through. It will let you mask the problem though. true but if you fix the fuel tap you will never have a problem with carbs over ...

Re: Gsxr slabside 29mm carbs

They look like the standard GSXR VM29SS carbs, they're 29mm on one side of the slide and 33mm on the other, I can't remember which way round. They sit in the same rubbers as standard 34mm so I was thinking it was the engine side, but you are right, they narrow a lot at the slide and that's where th...

There are TM29s and TM33s, and judging by the wall thickness of that set in the picture they could be TM33s, make sure you get good money for those.

I had a Z1-R done by Dream Machine, the clear top coat was beautiful, the base layers that you could see through the clearcoat looked like they had rubbed it down between coats against a brick wall.

Re: Gsxr slabside 29mm carbs

Suzuki boys go bandy for them, they are a good upgrade for the GS1000, but they can fit a CV carb head, which has the right size inlet rubbers and bigger inlet tracts. You need oversize rubbers on a Z head, because we never went to CV carbs until the J motor. Still doable. My head has been ported a...

Re: Oil pressure loss !!

For the small cost, I would certainly fit a new oil pressure switch as I've seen these fail many many times before and they don't last forever. Agree with you 100% :up :up :up Totally agree with you both, the first thing to identify is if you have a loss of oil pressure or a loss of the oil pressur...

Re: Carb airbox install z900 a

What is the best way to install the airbox rubbers and carbs as it is all a very tight fit. Is in airbox in minus rubbers then carbs the rubbers and connect up assuming that the head rubbers are already mounted in the first place. You won't get the rubbers into the airbox once the carbs are in if i...

Re: B fork springs.

Update, back to back 10w v 15w fork oil ride. so the only minor difference noticable was the rate of compression and rebound was slower with 15 than 10. So if you "push on" you'd want 15, if your just crusing around you'd want 10 for comfort but the difference is negliable. It gets a bit ...
