Re: Carb airbox install z900 a

What is the best way to install the airbox rubbers and carbs as it is all a very tight fit. Is in airbox in minus rubbers then carbs the rubbers and connect up assuming that the head rubbers are already mounted in the first place. You won't get the rubbers into the airbox once the carbs are in if i...

Re: B fork springs.

Update, back to back 10w v 15w fork oil ride. so the only minor difference noticable was the rate of compression and rebound was slower with 15 than 10. So if you "push on" you'd want 15, if your just crusing around you'd want 10 for comfort but the difference is negliable. It gets a bit ...

+3 on this, the screw is there to adjust to get the right mixture. The right mixture is the criteria, not the position of the screw.

Re: Black rubber choke lever handle part number

Doh, course it is :idea . So would be the same from Mikuni whatever manufacturer they were fitted to. Ordered, just need to make sure I take it out the packet before I go in the garage :D It should be delivered in plain, white, "this is not dirty magazines or sex toys, honest" packaging.

You'd probably find it's Mikuni, Kawasaki never made carburettors.

Z900 liner

Hi guys,

As it says I am on the lookout for one (or more) Z900 standard unbored liner.

It's to replace one that is cracked.

A knackered set of barrels with at least one good liner would work too.

Thanks

Re: ZIA revs hanging when throttle is blipped

Hi , Been there and got the post card , spent weeks mucking about with the carbs on my 1100 because revs were hanging on in the mid range and eventually turned out that the so called expert that had done some top end work had managed to set up the valve timing 1 tooth out . I never realised that th...

Re: Regulator..Rectifier

Cheers Dave, its just a thought process, a couple of decent runs and the battery's going. The RR was new from fleebay and it just might be a dud. Im just re charging the battery now and when its back on the bike ill test the voltage when it's running. You really need to see around 13.5v meter on V ...

The tap should not cause or allow the carbs to overflow, whether passing whilst off or left on.

Latest … pilot & main jets increased to 120 / 20 and lifted the needles a notch …. running better but still hanging on blip …. while the carbs were off I put my hand over each inlet rubber then turned the motor over, all kept a good vacuum until I removed my hand except, cyl 3.... I removed the...

Re: ZIA revs hanging when throttle is blipped

remove the tick over screw & see if the revs are still hanging if its ok without the tick over screw the slide heights will need to be set correctly That would just give him a high tickover that he can't adjust, but that's not his problem. I read it that he can get a reasonable tickover, but wh...

Re: ZIA revs hanging when throttle is blipped

Double checked cables … got play on both cables …. throttle action is loose You need to identify the cause, either slides not closing or some other way fuel/air is getting into the motor. The return cable should be tight for this test, adjust the cables so that you can see the return cable get tigh...
