I'll give that a go, earlier on today I connected the starter motor up direct from the battery and it didn't work. I plan to remove it tomorrow and I'll test it properly and give it a clean.

That must have been a 'mare.

I agree that the reviews were mixed and I did it with an element of trepidation, tbh I went overboard with cleaning it out and then getting it dry, this may have lifted me into the lucky %.

The plug caps are already fitted, IE they aren't the old type where you have to screw the cap on/into the lead itself.
