i agree po repair doesnt look too good, but has not made any difference to the engine reliability in the last 10 years of my ownership, welding just a bit porous to let a very small amount of oil weep thru after a run out.

no worries, i did measure them to make sure they were 28mm and they are 29mm

eventually got round to fitting some of robs refurbished choke plungers, happy to say it got rid of the off idle stutter, great job, didn't think i would get chance this early in the year to try it
