Re: Z1000A2 Project
Hi Gonzo, I'm going to keep it original (apart from maybe the colour) just got to decide on the colour, it was originally black being an American import but I'm not keen on black. :?: Original Luminous Green, easily the best. s-l1600 (1).jpg Mmmmm that OEM Green is nice ........but they did a reall...

Re: Rear Light Gremlin Z1000 A1
Finally sorted the gremlin - once again thanks for the tips. Cant believe what an absolute b'stard that was: so many hours taken up and it turned out to be something so small and caused by my own bodgery   Having had almost the entire loom and electrics in bits the last thing I checked ...

Re: Z1B Swinging Arm Pivot bolt
Thank you for your help. Firstly the threaded inserts aren't welded in. I have tried inserting a plate into the slots and tried to turn the insert but it wouldn't turn. I've tried this on both ends. The spindle is hollow and I've tried screwing in one of the bolts and giving it a smack but it didn'...

Certainly seems like light related short alright but it may originate else where . I'm certainly no electric's wiz but I normal get there in the end ...some times takes me a while ha ha. Re: GPZ 1100 - first of many questions
Personally I'd try & get it going first before going any further ..... as a Cold compression test ain't worth a Carrot ! & if it has not run for a while the valve seats would likely be a bit grubby & would not give a true compression reading until they have been run for about 15-30 minut...

Re: Z750 Crank & Conrod Markings
Hi Guys, hoping someone can help me here as need a little sense check.. Just checking the Crank from this z750 E engine to see what journals to order for the big ends. I’m looking for an “O” or no mark. As far as I can see there is “No Mark” for both the Conrod and Crankshaft Journal Diameters. But...

Re: APE Extra Clutch Plate Kit
Does anyone know what the advantages are to fitted the APE extra friction plate clutch kit are? I have converted to a hydraulic clutch and noticed it slipping when high in revs. Is there a real benefit or would std plates be OK with maybe heavier springs? Stinky I'm guessing there's an extra - fibr...
Re: Studs
Hi, does anyone know how long the stock 8mm header studs are, the ones that fasten exhaust to the head? I changed out my Std 6mm exhaust studs in my 900 engines to 8mm x 1.25 pitch x 50mm total length and made of 304 Stainless Steel (much better than OEM mild steel ) think I got em from Flea Bay. H...

Re: Reg/Rec A4
Got this one from one from Zpower 2 years ago, fresh out of packaging today first time it's been on a bike, they don't take returns on electrical items, and i guess after 2 years it's a bigger no, straight in the bin. ouch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6ka6C2FbCw Hi Kev, I'm assuming the reg/re...
