I agree it is the engine of the Zed that makes you stop and look even passing mine parked on the drive still. You may as well put some work in on the donor bike and ride that? IMHO!!

ive always liked the look of the yamaha vmax and they do seem to be holding price, they are collecting a cult following, i dont think they can be too fragile otherwise they wouldnt be holding price like they are. but they may be too old now i dont know. I bought a Vmax full power spec with the idea...

Headlight fault Z900A4

Hi Guys, just getting the bike ready for mot. The headlight on full beam is bright but on dip goes dull. Then I found that on dip both the elements inside the bulb are both on at about half brightness. Any ideas why both elements are being powered up?

Are you totally happy with the valve clearances and timing. Sounds like it could be a tooth or two out? Just a thought! Valve clearances are fine, all between 0.1 and 0.15. The bolt #25 locks the adjustment mechanism. I slackened this bolt half a turn before adjusting the bolt with the lock nut. Once you have adjusted and tightened the lock nut then nip up the bolt#25 and fold tabs up. Too tight and you might shift the adjustment. Good luck.
