Re: Jammed swinging arm bearings

Well done Stewart. Took me ages to get them out on my Z1R swingarm. The Dremel is one of my most used tools at the moment !

Re: Z1A Restoration

You can get an unmarked brand new rim from Z Power. These are decent quality and a good match for the originals but obviously don't have the Takasago date codes on them. Although the add shows a pair, I'm pretty sure they sell them individually http://www.z-power.co.uk/wheel-rim-set-pair-made-in-the...

Re: Jammed swinging arm bearings

I had to carefully cut mine with a mixture of hacksaw blades and dremel until I could use a small chisel to collapse the bearing shell . They are a right bugger to get out !

Re: For Sale: 1973 UK Z1 (SOLD)

That's good news. I was sorely tempted when Dave offered me 1st refusal, but with 7 bikes in the garage already !

Good luck to the new owner, it's a great bike.

Re: Z1 1973 seat renovation

You could get a seat cover from Pit Replica and do it yourself if the foam is ok. I recently did mine on the Z1R and for my first attempt, I'd say it was as good as you get. Just use some plastic or cling film on the foam so that you can move the cover before staking it down. 20200623_155031.jpg 202...

Re: Z1R Restoration Completed

Thanks for all the kind words. 200 miles on it and just a couple of small leaks sorted. It's running well although I did get soaked last weekend when me and Sven went to the H cafe :( Much cleaning followed this week but back to shiny best. First oil/filter change just after 100 miles and all looked...

Re: Custom braided hoses/brake lines

I recently got HEL braided lines from Mark at Lightenupgrade. He's an authorised HEL supplier and will make what you need. Very helpful and quick service
