The shaft may be twisted. You can check it, but of course this means taking them to bits again :(

Re: Cylinder Head Washers

The copper ones are for the 4 outer studs where oil is fed under them, i.e. they are a seal. The others are steel. However, I'm working on a Z650 head which has the same size washers but they are all steel. The originals are not standard 10mm washers I believe, but are a bit wider....around 22mm vs ...

Can anybody tell me the correct size of washer for the cylinder head ?

Is there any issue replacing the zinc plated steel with stainless steel ?

Thanks Steve

Re: Painting my brake calipers

I get mine blasted and sprayed with 2 pack satin black. I've changed all my bikes to synthetic brake fluid to hopefully preserve the finish.

Re: Genuine versus replica fenders/mudguards?

My observations on this: The new genuine ones are not quite the same as the original ones, especially the front. The rolled edges seem to be smaller on the new gen ones I bought. The replica ones are very good and I would say as good as the new gen items. However, my bikes don't see the rain ! I do ...
