Re: Viton choke plunger seat replacments for Mikuni VM carbs.

Massive thanks to Rob for doing mine too. I haven't run them yet, but I can feel a noticeable (audible) difference when testing how the individual plungers seat in the carb bodies. Quick service, expertly engineered, superb.

Re: Viton choke plunger seat replacment service for Mikuni VM carbs.

Thanks for offering this as a service. I've got a set of VM28SC (MkII) carbs that I'll probably get this done for.

Will Pm you in a couple of weeks once I've got them ready to send.

Z1000 / KZ1000 Tool Kit

Found this in my box of misc bits for sale.

Largely complete tool kit, missing the feller gauges and a couple of screwdriver bits (I’m no expert so feel free to advise). Slight Knick on the case in one position, but overall in lovely condition.

Looking for £150 posted in Uk.

KZ1000 St Front Mudguards / Fenders X 2

1980 Kawasaki Z1000 / KZ1000 St Front Fenders I have two of these. Both are solid and have reasonable chrome, but for concours should be rechromed (some pitting / marks). Fender 1: has a small repair to the front edge, otherwise undamaged. £50 Fender 2: has a pin dent on top, otherwise undamaged. £5...

Many thanks for the feedback.

Looks like my future will involve rebuilding another set of VM28ss carbs then :-)....

Really appreciate the guidance.

Re: KZ1000 MkII (A3, 1979) aftermarket carb sizing advice

The stock 28mm carbs are plenty for a stock motor and exhaust and still give good results even with a port job and open pipe etc. 34mm slide carbs are overkill and really the largest you would need for any state of road tune. If going for a 4-1 pipe, cams and pods etc at a later date then 29 or 31 ...

KZ1000 MkII (A3, 1979) aftermarket carb sizing advice

Afternoon chaps. I’ve managed to acquire an original, low mileage 1979 KZ1000 MkII just after the owner started stripping her for spares. She’s complete aside from the original body set and original VM28 carbs. I’ll probably end up sourcing a new body set from PmC/Doremi but wondering what the gener...
