Re: 1975 Z1B
Haydn, Fair enough. I also have a Z1-B which I've owned from new (bought May 1st 1975) although it was in pieces for 43 years. I think the general opinion is that they are the best of the Z1's to ride although not maybe the most desirable to own. Pic of mine attached (although a UK bike it's fitted ...

Re: 1975 Z1B
Just interested in why you would swap a UK Z1-A with a USA Z1-B?

Mystery clock
Anyone know what this clock is from (I'm assuming it's an early Z but not before 1977).

Re: It only too me 41 years to get another Z1B
If the brass parts on the carbs are in good condition refit them as although the Keyster's are probably the best replacements viz. quality the originals are always best. Also, if not already done get the choke plunger seals replaced or you will be running on choke all the time. PM Rob Meggitt (zed10...

Not for someone with half a brain, as I managed to bugger it up twice!

Re: Anyone in the Portsmouth area
Would not consider myself an expert but have recently (2020/2021) rebuilt my Z1-B from the frame up so would be happy to help. Also have a few tools which might help (Kawasaki ring compressor etc).
I'm in Chandlers Ford so about 25 to 30 mins away from Portsmouth.
Good luck with the rebuild.

Just to confirm that there are no spreader blocks on site, so bring your own.

Re: Kophill climb
For all those coming to Kop Hill, it appears there are no bike stand spreader blocks (it's grass standing). One of the committee guys is going to check for tomorrow but if no go I suggest you bring your own if possible. Grass is fairly firm at the moment (it supported my fully wet Z1-B for an hour) ...

Re: Z1B Refresh for 2022 Events
Further to kawasaki-man's comment about the ring compressor. If anyone needs the 900cc version I have the genuine 57001-532 ring compressor (as pic) which I'm happy to loan to PUM's. If you're local to me (within 50 odd miles of M3 JCT12) I can drop off (make sure the kettle's on) or you can collect...

Re: Kophill climb
Paul, Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the Z1OC stand is there for just the Sunday. As I mentioned before I have a hill run spot for both my Z1-B and Ninja H2 for both days so will be allocated an individual hill run position for both bikes. If you're happy to have me I can wheel the Z1-B over ...

Re: Tool tray decal 73 Z1 900
Hi does anyone know were or if you can buy the tool tray decal the one that says model z1 & does not have the clock stop light on the diagram, or a original one would be better, :) By "tool tray" do you mean the Document Tray in the ducktail? You could drop a mail to John Clifton in O...
