Bit of flex pipe cut to length would sort it easily enough.

"set of four vac guages", which ones Graham? There are some real cheap absolute rubbish chinese guages available on various auction and dealer sites. The only way to tell if the ones that turn up are reliable is to test each of the four guages on the same cylinder in turn. Obviously they s...

Re: Z1000R2 side stand stopper
It's sprung loaded and allows you to lift the bike off the side stand with the engine continuing to run. If you don't press and hold it as soon as you take the Wight off the side stand the ignition will cut out.

Re: Z1000R2 side stand stopper

Cant see how it was originally mounted though without frame adaption. Have you got the diagram of the side st...

Re: Z1000R2 side stand stopper
I searched hi n lo to find a diagram with the override switch plate and switch. No diagram I found showed it. I only ever found diagrams as shown below without the switch. I spent several hours fitting and refitting the additional plate and spring before I finally sorted it to work as I described pr...

Nothing wrong with Keyster kits Graham. Sorry not from my experience :sad jets I am talking about , genuine Mikuni every time . Each to their own . I'm talking Keyster jets (which are in the kits) I've used probably 40 - 50 Keyster kits over the years and never had an issue. If I were just replacin...

Re: ZRX forks pre-load adjustment
Doesn't raise anything. Just preloads the forks so that they don't dive until the preset load is exceeded in my experience.
I put about an inch of pre load in my 650's and 900 & 1000.
I do like a stiffer front end and hate the fork dive of soft forks when braking.
