Will probably be a reasonable price too!

I heard he'd given up on the idea...
Good to hear.

Re: z900 a4 airbox

Agreed: I sold a complete airbox to a member on here for £300 last year. I then found I needed one and had to pay £400 for one. There are limits to what you can 3D print and often the finished article isn't robust enough. I've looked into getting some designed an made - it simply isn't worth the ver...

Re: Carburetors

Got to agree with Johny, the actual fuel height is critical and often doesn't directly correlate to the float height.
I set the float height and then measure the factual fuel height also - as you can find the actual fuel height isn't within the correct parameters although the float height is.

Re: 1976 KZ900 A4 for sale

Very nice and looks to be slightly better condition than mine. However, I think your pricing is very much on the high side for a bike that's not in the UK (I'd say you are selling if for about what it'd be worth in the UK - based on sold prices I've seen). Most people don't know how to import an bik...

Re: Carburetors

A combination of any of the following: Incorrect fuel level worn or sticking float valve Leaking fuel tap Perished float bowl gaskets You need to get the carbs out and get the bowls off and check for correct float/fuel height, gasket and float valve condition and deal with accordingly. I've probably got some, but I'm in the UK.
You should be able to pick some up via EBay though.

The seat has arrived from Germany, it's in very nice condition. However, I will remove the cover and foam and get the base powdercoated. Not sure why this wasn't done when the seat was reupholstered..

Re: 28mm z1r carb

1 of the carbs has been bodged i think ! Nigel from Aire valley classics is rebuilding them ! I think more correctly it should be 'trying to salvage them'. DDZs set are in very poor shape. All air screws, throttle slides and float pins seized solid. I have managed to un-seize them all barring the a...

I need as new timing strobe - recommendations?

My 35 year old timing strobe has finally given up and I need a new one.
I'm looking at a Gunson one. Anyone have any recommendations? It's not going to get masses of use.
