Re: Z900 A4 fuel leak any ideas please?
See the image from the workshop manual. You may find that when the exhaust arrow is lined up with the head, the inlet one may be slightly pointing down due to cam chain wear. If you are a tooth under (27) then the inlet cam arrow would be one tooth up. The only way to be sure is to remove the top ro...

Re: Shim adjustment
The head needs to come off and the valves need tipping at the very least. 0.30mm can be ground off the stem to get you in the 220 ish range but you will soon run out of adjustment and really need to be in the thicker end of the shim range which can be achieved by skimming the collets and retainers ...

Re: Shim adjustment
Sadly, you'll need to remove the head and valves and then have some metal trimmed off the valve stems. While you're at it, it would be advisable to check and sort the valve guides as seats. This is a job best left to those who are properly skilled and equipped. Depending where you are in the UK will...

Provisionally sold:Busso 4/2 repro exhaust for Z1000A1/2
*** Provisionally sold *** As many of you will know I organised a group buy with Busso for some of their 4/2 exhausts and it was all a bit of a saga. I still have a set I bought which have a manufacturing issue (surprise, surprise) and gave up on Busso replacing them and I am never going to use them...

Re: Z900 A4 fuel leak any ideas please?
The brass tees are aftermarket and they are superior to the OEM ones in terms of performance and longevity. These outsell the OEM one by 10-1 and are a good alternative if you want reliability and don't care that it's not original. They should push in all the way so both o-rings are inside the body....

Re: Z900 A4 or Z1 or even Z1000 plastic document tray
The way to tell definitively is to show us a photo of the tailpiece looking from the rear.
Z900 is more squared off.

I've got 3 or 4 sprocket carriers. Not sure if there is any difference between on for the Z1R and other Z1000 variants?
