Back in the day on my first A4 I always had red NGK's on it as I thought they looked cooler and can't ever remember having any issues with them don't know if they had resisters in them then or not wouldn't have known what a resister was either.

Have you cleaned out the tank? has it been lined? if any of that comes adrift it can restrict fuel to the tap when running steady but not necessarily when moving around town as it can get moved around with the bike, same if something has sucked into the air filter, a bit obvious I know but a possibi...

That was my thoughts, a good quality six point socket is far superior to a twelve point, it did the job though so that's the main thing.

The cam chain wear limit is to measure the stretch in the chain only (and they do stretch), you can't really do this with the chain in situ as it is around the crank sprocket unless you have a spare crank somewhere that you can put a new chain around to compare, I used a soft link chain on my old 90...

One of seat hinges has about 3mm of metal protruding from it which hits the underside of the bracket on the frame stopping it from opening too far, you can just about see it on the rear hinge of the Brown (great colour) bike picture and on the front hinge on Taffus's pictures, not the best set up wh...

I would think that one or maybe both of the brackets on the frame have been bent down a bit, the rubber blocks should stop that but if they have worn or have ever been missing the brackets will bend, they could also bend if the seat was in the open position and took a knock, on my bike the clearance...
