not much to update really, tried bleeding all the brakes as it has been a dry bike from rebuild, really having problems with the rear brake! one of the things that was bugging me was the Z1000 side panel badges, when it went in for paint Mark tried to remove them without snapping the little plastic lugs on the back... but they snapped...so i really could not bring myself to "glue" them on to fresh paintwork that cost me £500, b...

sooooo.... exhausts sent to my dads mate to sort the bad repairs, he tried and did a decent job on 1 of them but didn't want to do the rest... with the exhausts being double skinned he said they rot from the inside out so worries him what might be "lurking behind the rest", i must admit i ...

got all the fuel hoses, and today put on the 4 x overflow pipes and held in place with the original rubber..... i didn't know until i took this picture that the shroud from the top of the rear brake light switch needs a clean.... tut tut :oops: http://i1308.photobucket.com/albums/s617/simonhardcastl...

i hear what you guys are saying but the clamps i removed were chrome (fully understand these may not have been OEM but i really do believe the could have been).... i just think after all the expense on the exhausts it will look utter rubbish.... and i will know that so i have to have them chrome... ...

one thing i am pretty disappointed with is the quality of the exhaust clamps from Kawasaki, i could have bought some off eBay for a lot cheeper byt the finish is terrible, they actually look shite and I'm now going to have to get a new part chromed.... let me know what you think!! http://i1308.photo...

so i guess I'm going to have about £1500 in the exhausts alone when they are all finished .... its shocking really when you think about it, i was going to restore the other set but no chance now.... they will go with the bike to the new owner.
