Re: Harris race baffle for gpz1100 / z1000 think they fitted a few

Is it just mangled by the grips or is it rusted out? Any pics?
Heres whats on mine. A bit of surface rust but otherwise solid.

Re: Harris race baffle for gpz1100 / z1000 think they fitted a few

I have one in my bike at the minute. Its way too loud for my liking. Even with the packing in it.I want to switch it for a road baffle. If you come across one of those,I'd do a straight swap with you.

Re: Exhausted

So, I wrapped the baffle today. I would say it has taken the edge off the sound. Nothing more. A bit less harsh, maybe warmer ( as someone said). Cant say more than that. Ill run it like this for a while and see if I get used to it. (Couldnt get used to the un-wrapped baffle.).
Ill let you know.

Exhausted

I have a Harris exhaust with a race baffle. A straight perforated tube with no baffling material around it. If I wrap some glass cladding (?) around it, will this quieten things down a bit? Would I need to retune the carbs?

Re: Disk lock or something similar?

I stored my D lock behind the carbs on my old 500/4 once. Somehow it fouled the throttle control while I was driving, jamming it open. Luckily I had a clear road in front of me and was able to killl the engine and keep everything upright. Wont do that again. As for disclock. Someimes its a tight sque...

Re: Fuel tap.

I imagine flow would be a concern. It would need to be a tap from a bigger bike. This one wont work anyway as i need a 44mm heart to heart on the bolt holes.
I went to the breakers but they had nothing and no ideas. Has nobody else had this problem?

I was planning to head up to my local breakers this afternoon.Hes got a CSR650 listed for parts but thats on your list Adrian so its probably a vacuum tap as ...
