One of the guys on here did some from sticky back foam for me I photo copied them as templates so print this full size a4 and use them as a template. I'd appreciate some advice as I'm doing this job on my Z1000A1. Are the steel dowels supposed to bottom out when the clocks are tightened up? Thanks ...

I had an R100GS that had the same symptoms. It turned out to be running lean at idle.

Hi ..... I have been out for my first ride on the Z1b ,This is the problem Bike starts easily warms up well runs well that is till you reach about 4000rpm in all gears then it breaks down starts to sputter and will not rev thru that range in fact will only slow down & dies off as it gets too mu...
